  • How do I get to Cabot Links?

  • What type of attire is appropriate?

    Typical golf attire - golf shirts and pants or walking shorts with soft spike shoes.

  • What is the weather like?

    Daytime temperatures in Inverness range between 16-24°C (60-75°F), reaching a potential high of 29°C (85°F) in July and August. The course can be windy, what great links course isn't? We suggest wearing layers with a windbreaker (or rain jacket- just in case).

  • Are there carts?

    We are a walking only course. We offer carts for people who have genuine mobility related disabilities. Please call ahead to ensure availability.

  • Do you have caddies?

    Cabot Links offers traditional caddying which involves both the golfer and the caddie walking the course. Caddies at Cabot Links are expertly trained and as such, offer invaluable insight with regard to pin placements, yardage, strategy, club selection and, last but not least, moral support! Our caddies hope to boost your game and lower your score. - Class A caddy fees are $60 for 18 holes and Class B caddy fees are $45. Caddies are paid directly, tipping is left to your discretion.

  • What other activities are there nearby?

    The Inverness Beach borders Cabot Links (and beyond!). It boasts the warmest water north of the Carolinas and is staffed with life-guards every day of the summer. The charmingly decorated Inverness Beach Cafe is a great place to grab a snack. If you have the energy to walk after a round, Cape Breton is home to numerous paths and hiking trails, be sure to bring good shoes and your camera. Live music is an intergral part of culture, with Gaelic song and dance experienced at local music venues, restaurants and pubs - day and night. Be sure to check out The Inverness County Centre for the Arts, which features local artwork and has a charming gift shop. On Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons, harness racing is alive and well at the track in town. Bring a few dollars and bet on your favourite horse!

    Our season runs from approximately April 15th-November 15th.
